Resin flooring contractor ACL Industrial Flooring were asked to carry out installation of a resin floor system for a major manufacturing company in Wigan. This Wigan based manufacturer required a resin flooring installation that would highlight walkways, forklift trafficking areas as well as high risk door areas and zebra crossing sections. Our client wanted clean separate colours to define the separate sections without additional line markings.
The existing surface had multiple layers of standard floor paint that had been applied direct by the client. As this surface was lifting and flaking the existing surface needed extensive preparation. The project took place over a shut down period and involved dust controlled diamond grinding to the existing surface to remove this flaky, debonding floor paint. After the floor preparation had been completed the required repairs were carried using a combination of two and three component repair products.
The first coat of high build epoxy resin floor coating was applied to all surfaces and allowed to cure. Further repairs were carried out as required to cracks, bolt holes and other areas prior to the second coat of high build epoxy coating resin flooring being applied.
The colours chosen for this resin flooring project in Wigan were bright contrasting colours to highlight pedestrian walkways, forklift aisle ways and high risk vehicle doorway entrances.
Zebra crossings, cross hatching and other safety marking were then included to finish off this hard wearing and visually stunning installation suitable for pedestrian and vehicle movement within this busy manufacturing area.
ACL Industrial Flooring install resin floor solutions throughout the North West and beyond, providing installations to manufacturing areas using epoxy coatings, resin floor screeds to provide highlighted working and pedestrian areas.
